Families

Sometimes you need to share a password with someone close to you — HamsterPass makes that easy.

Everyday people

Keeping track of passwords shouldn't require enterprise software, or locking you into one ecosystem. It should be simple, and work everywhere.

Travelers

Heading away? Make sure someone at home can access the accounts they might need.

Built to be boring about security

The most interesting thing about how HamsterPass handles your passwords should be that there's nothing interesting to say.

Encrypted at rest

Usernames, passwords, and notes are encrypted individually with AES-256-GCM before they're written to the database — not just the disk they sit on.

No master password to leak

HamsterPass never asks you to invent a master password. Sign-in is verified with a one-time code sent to your email, and sessions use short-lived tokens instead of a long-lived secret.

Full change history

Every create and update to a password entry is recorded, so nothing changes silently.

Easy in, easy out

We respect you and your data. Store and organize your passwords with us — no selling, no lock-in — and take them with you any time you need to.

Questions people actually ask

Is HamsterPass free?

Yes — all core functionality is completely free.
Some advanced options may become paid down the line.

Do I need to invent a master password?

No. You sign in with your email and a one-time code we send you — there's no separate HamsterPass password to create or remember.

What happens if I get a new phone?

Your vault is tied to your email, not your device. Sign in from any browser with the same email and you'll get the same vault back.

Is my data encrypted?

Yes. Every password entry — username, password, and notes — is encrypted individually with AES-256-GCM before it's stored.

How can I be sure my passwords are encrypted?

Don't take our word for it — download an audit export of your entire vault. It shows every username, password, and note exactly as stored in the database: encrypted ciphertext, not plain text. The encryption key itself is never included.

Can I get my passwords out if I want to leave?

Yes. HamsterPass includes an audit export so you can download your entries whenever you want.

Which devices does it work on?

Any device with a modern browser — desktop, mobile, or tablet. Nothing to install.
